“The Anderton Boat lift – Then and Now” 2003
This club production aimed to capture the feel of the Anderton Boatlift near Northwich and to describe a brief history of this wonder of Victorian engineering from its
conception, construction & use, through to its dereliction and eventual restoration. The project involved considerable effort on the part of the club in terms of archive research and local filming of the restored lift.
The International Scout Chamboree, Tabley, Cheshire, 2002
This film, produced by the club, covered the International gathering of scouts from around the world for the 2002 Chamboree at Tabley, Cheshire. Filmed over the one week of outdoor activities by around ten cameramen /women and crew, the event tested our skills and resolve during a period of very variable weather. The film included the thrills, spills and fun enjoyed by several hundred scouts and leaders.
“The Lord Major of Chester’s International World Town Crier’s Tournament, 2001”
This production was made by the club at the request of Chester City Council who were hosting this event. The production took place over a four day period in June 2001 centred around Chester. The Tournament involved competitors from all over the world. The 60 minute film received acclaim from the competitors and the Council alike.
