Film Projects
Each year the West Cheshire video club often plan a filming project in which many of the club members participate. In the winter period these are usually conducted indoors at their meeting hall.
During 2011 the summer project involved creating a record of the various festivals that take place in Chester during the summer period. In 2011 these included the Roman Deva Experience, The Giants Parade, The Midsummer Watch parade, The Rotarians Raft Race on the river Dee and the Chester music festival including the ‘Big Sing’. The latter provided an opportunity for choirs around the region to take part in choral singing in the city centre with accompaniment from members of the public.
The filming took place over a number of weeks during the summer months. The events were extremely colourful and provided a good opportunity to capture an essence of Chester life.
